    Re: I miss my kids

Thank you so much for reaching out through our bulletin boards. It sounds like you are going through so much right now and trying your best to get some assistance. We are sorry to hear about the recent losses in your family. It certainly seems to be a difficult time for you right now. You also mentioned that you are currently trying to get in contact with your children. You mentioned that you have recently been in recovery and congratulations on your one year being clean. That is a wonderful accomplishment and you should be very proud of your hard work. It sounds like your main concern right now is your children. Do you know who was caring for your kids during the time you were in treatment? If they were involved in Department of Children and Family Services it may be helpful to try and contact a caseworker and see if they have any information about your children. Do you have any family that you can contact that may have knowledge of their whereabouts? If you are concerned your children may have runaway or are missing it could be helpful to contact the police or reach out to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678.

It’s understandable how much you miss your children and how frustrating this situation may be. While most of the resources we have are for runaway, homeless, and at risk youth we would certainly try to find any resources that may be helpful to your situation. If you would like to discuss your situation more in depth you can always feel free to contact us at our 24 hour hotline 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929). There is always someone here to listen and provide support. Take care and feel free to reach out to us anytime.
Please remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.
