We’re glad you decided to reach out to the National Runaway Safeline. You mentioned you’ve already left. However, if you are in need of a safe place to go or would like to talk out possible options, we are here to help.
There was an act that was passed to help all homeless youth enroll in school (which can include runaways) called the McKinney-Vento Act. More information can be found here: https://www.k12.wa.us/HomelessEd/AssistanceAct.aspx The school may need to get in contact with a guardian at some point, but their homeless coordinator should be able to answer any questions you have about the enrollment process.
