It is great to hear that you told your friend about NRS. NRS is an anonymous, confidential 24hr crisis line, so if your friend were to call us she would not need to tell us her name, or any other identifying information, and what she talks about would be kept private.

Just to let you know, we are mandated reporters. This means that if she shares identifying information (like names, city/state, addresses, etc.) and says she is being abused, then we would have to pass along this information to Child Protective Services (CPS).

I have a friend who is being emotionally/ phisically bullied by her step-mom and mom and is being neglected by her dad. I told her about runaway and she dosnt know what to expect if she asks for help. What WILL she expect?
