im 15 almost 16 and this house is suffocating me, i really need to leave this house. my mom has called me so many names and when shes drunk she slaps me. i try to do things for her and all she does it criticize how bad it was, i have been abused by boyfriends before and told her but she just said that was stupid, im going threw a lot right now and i am a cutter and i have tried to kill myself. all i want is out of here otherwise the next morning she going to find a dead person in her house. my step dad hates me to even tho he has moved out and my sister follows everything they say. i have scars and new cuts all over my hands, wrist, and legs but she doesn't care. there's a lot more going on to but all i want to know is how can i get out of my house without her permission.

Thanks so much for sharing your story with us, it sounds like there is a lot going on and it is very emotional for you. Seems like in your environment it would be easy to feel so stressed and we're so sorry you have to be going through all of this. Sounds like you are feeling very alone with your sister leaning towards your moms side and feeling like your step dad hates you.
In situations this stressful it can help sometimes to have somewhere to turn or a shoulder to lean on. Do you have anyone you trust that you can turn to for any sort of help? Friends, other family, school counselors or teachers, friends parents, they all may be people to look to for help if you feel comfortable doing so. A counselor may be an option if you feel like it would be nice to have someone to consistently speak with and help you cope. If you ever feel like you are going to kill yourself you can always call the Suicide Hotline at 1-800-273-TALK. They're available to talk with you about the feelings that you are having and hopefully help you in a great way.
So if you decided to leave home, and your mom files you as a runaway then that would be called a status offense. Which just means you are not allowed to do something because you are a minor and it's not actually considered illegal.
If you can call us we can definitely talk more with you about what some options may be if you decide to leave. We can look into resources that may possibly be of help, talk about whatever you want regarding your situation, and help you figure out a safe plan to do what you want.
