  • They don't understand me.

It seems like everyday my parents are disowning me. They don't talk to me anymore, they push me away. Everything I do is wrong. They crush my dreams alot, I feel like I can't please them anymore. They don't want me near them. I don't know what to do.. They don't feed me, they go out with out me with my brothers and sister. They always tell me to leave the house. If I clean they complain if I miss a spot. My mom watches my dad beat me and she won't do anything. I asked school for help and they try but in the end they told me he can disapline me. They say alot about me the are bad, but I know I'm a good kid, If they want bad then I'll show it.

    Re: They don't understand me.

    Hey,

Thanks for reaching out to our bulletin boards and telling us your story. It really does sound like a very harsh and unsupportive environment. It seems like you're ready for people to listen to you and that you're ready to get some help with this issue.

Are there people around you that you trust? Can you talk to that person about your situation and see if they somehow can help you sort things out? How old are you?

You also stated in the title of your post that you're parents 'don't understand' you. What is it that they're not getting?

It sounds like they have way too many expectations and then you try and get them done but it's never enough for your parents. Have you ever tried to tell them that they're not treating you right or fairly? It's gotta be hard to witness them taking your sibblings out but not you. If you feel like they are mistreating you, sometimes people can make reports against parents that they aren't being fed or that they're being emotionally abused. Does that sound like something that is happening to you?

It might be helpful to get more details about your situation. If you're willing and able, please give us a call 24 hours a day at 1800-RUNAWAY. We will explore and discuss options with you.

    Best of luck,
    NRS
